St. Augustine Gay Wedding Photographer: White Room Wedding, Ali & Marcie Higgs

Working with Ali & Marcie was like hanging out with longtime friends. We met over a year ago now and I am already nostalgic thinking back to our first shoot at the Iceplant and surprising shrimp boat captains on the docks downtown.

Their wedding was perfect. They rented a big ol' house on Saint Augustine Beach (on 1st Lane—one of the best rentals around) and were married at the White Room's rooftop right before sunset. I am so thankful to have met these two women and their awesome families. Their bridal party was full of nieces and nephews and their energy made the group shots really come to life!

Thanks to all the amazing vendors who made these two brides look awesome and rock out the whole day.

St. Augustine Wedding Photographer: Halloween Wedding Portraits, Cedar House Inn & Flagler College

Kelly & Adam are from Port Saint Lucie. They decided to keep things simple (and absolutely gorgeous) and have a small ceremony at Cedar House Inn in historic downtown St. Augustine. They also got married on my favorite holiday and I am SO happy I decided to work this Halloween. The masks Kelly found and Adam's top hat were an awesome touch. Thanks, St. Augustine, for always providing such KILLER backdrops.

Creative St. Augustine Wedding Photographer: Riverhouse Wedding, Lindsay & David Gracey

Lindsay & David were wed, after 13 years together, on October 24, 2015. They stayed at Cedar House Inn downtown, had their ceremony right on the water at the Riverhouse and their reception in the beautiful ballroom. One of the coolest parts of the day was the 2-hour trolley they rented for the bridal party. This not only gave us time to relax and take dozens of photos but also gave their friends a little taste of St. Augustine. And the weather was perfect. Thank you, Child of Prague.

Florida Destination Photographer: Inspiration from SAM HURD, THE EPIC ATLANTA WORKSHOP

BEFORE WE CAN ACHIEVE GREATNESS, WE HAVE TO ACHIEVE GOODNESS  -SOME RICH GUY

I just returned from Atlanta an hour ago and after spending 7 hours in the car—my brain is fried but I still feel the enthusiasm and creative juices flowing from yesterday's workshop with Sam Hurd and many other talented photographers from all over the Southeast.

St. Augustine Wedding Proposal: Glenn & Holly

When Glenn called me early August from Georgia about a proposal he'd been planning on St. Augustine beach, I will admit, I was nervous. This was my first "official" proposal shoot and I didn't want to screw it up. This will be one of the most memorable days of their lives, I thought to myself. How will I—and my camera–go unnoticed?

Red & rust: A Florida back woods portrait session

I had the GREAT pleasure of shooting with Camille Seiler last Sunday. www.camilleseiler.com We scouted out this location the night before—becoming lost in rusty bicycles, chairs, tools, sheds and large cloudy windows. Finding out where we wanted to shoot and set up lights was the hard part—there were so many options!

Katie & Adam Mannar: LOVERMONT Wedding

How I met Katie and Adam is a story in itself. My high school guidance counselor (also, an up and coming wedding officiant!) has been following my work since I moved to Florida five years ago. Old college buddies with Adam, he showed them my portfolio. I was ecstatic when Katie contacted me. What? A wedding in Woodstock! At the Woodstock Inn? Not only is this a place where Rockefeller's used to hang, but Woodstock has been coined by National Geographic as "one of America's most picturesque villages". And, it surely is.

St. Augustine Engagement: Allee & Jordan

Allee and Jordan have known each other for nearly a decade and have been in love for close to half of it. They're from Georgia but St. Augustine is a place they visit often, with Allee's parents having an awesome spot on Crescent Beach. We spent last Thursday just cruising the side streets of St. Augustine—many of which they haven't seen—and "chasing the light". I can't wait until October to see these two get married!
