Tara & Emma chose a destination close to heart for their wedding—they have been visiting St. Augustine for years and wanted to share this special city with everyone on their list (mostly from NY and NJ).

2017 was NUTS—I spent almost every weekend in October in a different city. I shot my first International wedding in Mexico for my friend/photo mentor, Lindsay Pullen, and love of her life. I photographed more gay weddings than any previous year and was part of TWO pride weekends, one in Baltimore and Seattle. I began building my wedding biz in Vermont (more successfully than in 2016) and was able to spend most of the summer near my family.
Read MoreI cannot believe I am writing this on March 6, 2017 but there are SO many amazing images I made last year and so many awesome people I met along the way—I can't leave them behind without an awesome recap. 2016 proved to be the first big year of travel for SAP, including weddings and engagements in Chicago, New York, Asheville, Miami & Vermont. 2017 has even more destination weddings on the books.
Read MoreI have to be honest—New Years Eve has never been a holiday favorite of mine. I normally end up worn out from the year with a lovely head cold on my couch in Vermont. This year, when Katrina reached out only 2 months prior to the wedding I was SO excited to be part of their evening—and of all places, overlooking the city of St. Augustine on the White Room rooftop. Also, the two of them are freakin' awesome and were up for any creative direction. We had a first look to capture portraits before dark, a GORGEOUS evening wedding on the rooftop, followed by portraits in the plaza.

They got ready at John's parents house near the Bayfront, hiding from each other throughout the morning. It was a destination wedding for a lot of their family (traveling from CA) and they got to see the city lit up for Night of Lights and drink cocktails at our one and only distillery.
Read MoreManda & Jeremy had their destination wedding in St. Augustine because it's one of their favorite historic cities. They have been together nearly a decade and everyone was ready to see them tie the knot.
Read MoreKimberly and Johan are from Chicago and wanted to treat their families & friends to a fall destination wedding. They literally stumbled upon St. Augustine and chose the White Room as soon as they saw its awesome rooftop view. The Cubs won the World Series the NIGHT BEFORE the wedding so everyone was in AMAZING spirits all week long.
Read MoreNazmin & Kelly hired me to do their creative portraits post-wedding. These "after-sessions" are AWESOME because you don't have the stress of the wedding day and you can stroll around the city without a timeline to follow. :) We took portraits in the Treasury on the Plaza, where they were married only a month prior, and then headed toward the Lightner Museum. It was such a rad evening—here's a few of my favorites.
Read MoreIn lieu of today feeling like fall (finally!) in St. Augustine at a low of 70 :) I have a chance to sit down—windows open and comfortable— and reflect on this season. I have been moving Sarah Annay Photography slowly but surely to working the summer and fall months in Burlington, Vermont, where both my life and love affair with photography began. I had the opportunity to shoot Macey & Matt's wedding on September 3, 2016 and it was one for the books.
Read MoreI had a blast in Chicago for a little over 36 hours and I couldn't have had better tour guides than Kimberly & Johan. I absolutely LOVE seeing where my destination couples live and will travel anywhere to shoot awesome engagement sessions. It pushes me creativity to be on the loose in a new city!
