I had a blast in Chicago for a little over 36 hours and I couldn't have had better tour guides than Kimberly & Johan. I absolutely LOVE seeing where my destination couples live and will travel anywhere to shoot awesome engagement sessions. It pushes me creativity to be on the loose in a new city!
Read MoreI was not available for Oriana & Chad's wedding this past December—and was surprised (and excited!) to hear back from them a month later, saying that they were happy with their ceremony photos but really wanted a session with me for creative portraits. I had to post some of these images— not only because I am missing the night of lights magic but because her dress was killer and deserves some recognition.
Read MoreKelly & Adam are from Port Saint Lucie. They decided to keep things simple (and absolutely gorgeous) and have a small ceremony at Cedar House Inn in historic downtown St. Augustine. They also got married on my favorite holiday and I am SO happy I decided to work this Halloween. The masks Kelly found and Adam's top hat were an awesome touch. Thanks, St. Augustine, for always providing such KILLER backdrops.
Read MoreLindsay & David were wed, after 13 years together, on October 24, 2015. They stayed at Cedar House Inn downtown, had their ceremony right on the water at the Riverhouse and their reception in the beautiful ballroom. One of the coolest parts of the day was the 2-hour trolley they rented for the bridal party. This not only gave us time to relax and take dozens of photos but also gave their friends a little taste of St. Augustine. And the weather was perfect. Thank you, Child of Prague.
Read MoreThe Casa Monica Hotel, in the heart of downtown St. Augustine, is one of my favorite venues. Even if my brides aren't getting married in one of their awesome ballrooms or the pool deck, I always recommend their suites for getting ready with the bridal party. They're spacious, beautiful and have the best view of St. Augustine (and Flagler College towers). Killer for detail shots. They recently contacted me for some work to feature and I got super excited compiling these photos from 2014-2015.
Read MoreI cannot wait to see (and capture!) Lindsay & David's—who have been together a decade— wedding this weekend. I did not have the chance to post our awesome "hang" session from what seems like forever ago... so here it is. Anticipating beautiful light and perhaps recreating some of these photos on Saturday. As long as the nuns allow us to hang on the porch this time...
Read MoreI have to say...I have never spent 6 hours shooting an engagement session—until now. I just couldn't stop hanging out with Ali & Marcie. They are madly in love, hysterical to be around and we have similar taste in drinks (and pizza). We started at the Ice Plant to beat the heat (and to save the awesome makeup by Amanda Hopcraft Makeup Artist) and ended up at the shrimp docks nearby and later, at the beach— once the clouds rolled in. The night ended with a stormy Florida sunset (my favorite) and beachgoers photobombing our last couple of shots. :)
I am beyond stoked to be part of their wedding come November.
Read MoreHolly & Jan are a special couple—I knew it the moment I met them, arriving late at a Starbuck's in Jacksonville (I am always getting lost in Jacksonville) but they greeted me with big smiles and a no worries attitude. Their creative energy is electric (Jan is a designer, Holly a painter) and when they are together, you feel happy just being around them. Our second date was at Halkers, after we spent the afternoon shooting at the Cummer Museum for their engagement shoot. They told me how they met (online), how Holly never thought she'd find the man of her dreams until she met Jan and she spoke of his unwavering support during her ups and downs battling lime disease. His eyes do not leave hers when she speaks.
