Sarah Annay
Hi! I was born in Burlington, Vermont and started my photography business in St. Augustine, Florida in 2014. Currently, I am based in Vermont AND Florida— the best of both worlds. I do not charge travel fees for these two locations, but you can send me anywhere. I also shoot annual association meetings and conferences worldwide.
I have my MA in International Affairs from The New School in NYC. Outside of photography, I teach visual storytelling and marketing at The University of Vermont. Through photography, graphic design and data visualization, I am merging my talents to make this world a more equitable place for all.

On Photography: My style is a mix of creative portraiture and timeless photojournalism. I do not heavily edit my photographs. I will not put you in a dozen awkward poses, as long as you don't send me a Pinterest board with every shot you want. I want your images to reflect who you are. That is what's most important. Whether it is shooting a wedding, a national association meeting, an editorial spread, or social media imagery for a nonprofit, I am here to keep you at ease.
When I am not photographing and teaching, I am hiking every mountain in Vermont, traveling, cuddling with our kitty Oliver, illustrating and catching up on the latest Netflix series.
Photography and storytelling is my gift to share with the world. Capturing people's best—and authentic moments— is what I do.
