The Casa Monica Hotel, in the heart of downtown St. Augustine, is one of my favorite venues. Even if my brides aren't getting married in one of their awesome ballrooms or the pool deck, I always recommend their suites for getting ready with the bridal party. They're spacious, beautiful and have the best view of St. Augustine (and Flagler College towers). Killer for detail shots. They recently contacted me for some work to feature and I got super excited compiling these photos from 2014-2015.

Read MoreBrooke & Ryan were married on June 14, 2015. It was a hot day (ask any of the groomsmen, who hung at the fort in the afternoon sun, before grabbing beers at Meehan's) but the indoor ceremony inside The White Room, along with a reception overlooking the Bayfront couldn't have been sweeter—or cooler. I met Brooke & Ryan last spring and knew immediately that I was going to have a blast working with them. We have since became friends, as Brooke yelled as I was packing up our gear at the end of the night, "Sarah, we can hang out now!" I am so happy for the both of them and for not once complaining about the blanket of humidity that hung over us as we took portraits on Charlotte Street. They turned out gorgeous.

Caitlin & Daniel had their picturesque beach wedding on May 23, 2015. The Blue Ocean Breeze is an awesome venue and house—sleeping up to 20 people with high-rise ceilings and the most beautiful light! Not to mention the spiral staircase where they had their first look before their ceremony. The sky darkened post-ceremony but provided the natural soft-box that photogs pray for during beach weddings.
Read MoreHolly & Jan are a special couple—I knew it the moment I met them, arriving late at a Starbuck's in Jacksonville (I am always getting lost in Jacksonville) but they greeted me with big smiles and a no worries attitude. Their creative energy is electric (Jan is a designer, Holly a painter) and when they are together, you feel happy just being around them. Our second date was at Halkers, after we spent the afternoon shooting at the Cummer Museum for their engagement shoot. They told me how they met (online), how Holly never thought she'd find the man of her dreams until she met Jan and she spoke of his unwavering support during her ups and downs battling lime disease. His eyes do not leave hers when she speaks.

Scattered thunderstorms filled the days forecast and hours before the ceremony we were still questioning whether the weather would hold up. We decided to go with it. I packed umbrellas and prepared for the storm... it never came.

I just returned from Atlanta an hour ago and after spending 7 hours in the car—my brain is fried but I still feel the enthusiasm and creative juices flowing from yesterday's workshop with Sam Hurd and many other talented photographers from all over the Southeast.
Read MoreSarah & Andy's wedding was truly unique. Sarah and I crossed paths years ago, while volunteering at an after school program together the first year I moved to Florida. I loved her free spirit and ability to connect with people right away. When she contacted me last spring (I'd graduated, she'd met Andy!) I was surprised to find out she and him bought a house only a block away from me!

It was an unbelievably gorgeous day—the sun heating up the early afternoon and then the clouds rolled in at the perfect time for the ceremony so no one was squinting on the rooftop.
