St. Augustine Wedding Photographer, St. Augustine Photographer, Ximenez Fatio House Wedding: Sarah and Andy!

Sarah & Andy's wedding was truly unique. Sarah and I crossed paths years ago, while volunteering at an after school program together the first year I moved to Florida. I loved her free spirit and we connected right away. When she contacted me last spring (I'd graduated and Andy had proposed!) I was surprised to find out she and him bought a house only a block away from me! We had dinner together, she saved me okra from their garden this summer and I brought her eggs from my chickens. (Pretty awesome setup) Before meeting Andy officially, I'd see him watering the lawn and their many garden beds. On his days off, he's outside or thrifting unique items for their awesome abode. I was SUPER excited when Sarah told me that her and the girls would all be getting ready at her house the day of, instead of a hotel. This hasn't happened a lot in my career where I have the ability to incorporate pieces of their lives and their home into the detail shots. It was extremely intimate—not to mention, their house is a colorful piece of art.

I could go on and on about this couple and how awesome they are for each other. I hope you can see this in their photos. Sarah and Andy designed this wedding from scratch, working with the best vendors but keeping it laid-back and nature-inspired.

Sarah described their theme:

"Our “theme” for the wedding was “Love Grows Here.”  (If you asked Andy, he would say “we had a theme??”) At the ceremony, we had a tree planting ceremony and talked about the importance of choosing to nurture love, just as you would nurture a plant.  Both the ceremony and wedding were held outside in venues with lots of Florida flora.  I wore a beautiful flower crown (made by The Conservatorie) and a somewhat wild bouquet to bring the Love Grows Here theme into my look.  We recently bought a house together and have been working hard all year getting a garden going, so a theme about growth was perfect for us."
