St. Augustine Wedding Photographer: White Room Wedding, Ansley & Carter

Ansley and Carter met in college at UF. Both of their parents are also UF grads (go Gators!) and this was a running theme throughout the weekend. Ansley’s parents were wed in Memorial Presbyterian and they decided to choose the same venue. Bummer part? Her parents didn't receive most of their wedding images due to a failure in loading film. So, I spent time recreating photos of Ansley’s parents on the steps and also photos of her father’s groomsmen who were all present at the wedding. It was SUCH an awesome weekend—they rented out all of the White Room, including the beautifully decorated second floor ballroom and the Bay Kings Band playing on the rooftop into the night.

Ponte Vedra Wedding Photographer: Ponte Vedra Lodge & Club, Alex & Justin

Alex & Justin met in Gainesville though his best man (who is also his best friend) and they recall the food they were eating the first night they met. They are both complete “foodies” and they spent their honeymoon exploring southern France, drinking wine and eating everything in sight. They also spend many evenings in JAX beach with their dog, Trigger, and this is why they chose a beach location for the wedding. They wanted to see the ocean from their ceremony and reception site and loved the Lodge’s ballroom due to the huge windows and ability to watch the sunset. It was an intimate wedding with around 120 people. We took their portraits during the “blue hour” —my favorite—which is the few moments after sunset, when the sun is just barely below the horizon and the residual light leaves a predominately blue shade.  Passerby’s on the beach kept yelling, “congrats” and they laughed as they held each other, running back toward their reception.

St. Augustine Wedding Photographer, Vermont Wedding Photographer: A YEAR IN REVIEW (Better late, than never)

I cannot believe I am writing this on March 6, 2017 but there are SO many amazing images I made last year and so many awesome people I met along the way—I can't leave them behind without an awesome recap. 2016 proved to be the first big year of travel for SAP, including weddings and engagements in Chicago, New York, Asheville, Miami & Vermont. 2017 has even more destination weddings on the books.

St. Augustine Wedding Photographer: White Room Wedding, New Years Eve Wedding, Katrina & Matt

I have to be honest—New Years Eve has never been a holiday favorite of mine. I normally end up worn out from the year with a lovely head cold on my couch in Vermont. This year, when Katrina reached out only 2 months prior to the wedding I was SO excited to be part of their evening—and of all places, overlooking the city of St. Augustine on the White Room rooftop. Also, the two of them are freakin' awesome and were up for any creative direction.  We had a first look to capture portraits before dark, a GORGEOUS evening wedding on the rooftop, followed by portraits in the plaza.

St. Augustine Wedding Photographer: Oldest House & St. Augustine Distillery Wedding: Ashley & John

Ashley & John celebrated their love at two St. Augustine gems—The Oldest House & St. Augustine Distillery. They got ready at John's parents house near the Bayfront, hiding from each other throughout the morning. It was a destination wedding for a lot of their family (traveling from CA) and they got to see the city lit up for Night of Lights and drink cocktails at our one and only distillery.

St. Augustine Wedding Photographer: Memorial Presbyterian, Manda & Jeremy

Manda & Jeremy had their destination wedding in St. Augustine because it's one of their favorite historic cities. They have been together nearly a decade and everyone was ready to see them tie the knot.

St. Augustine Wedding Photographer: Destination wedding photographer, White Room Wedding, Kimberly & Johan

Kimberly and Johan are from Chicago and wanted to treat their families & friends to a fall destination wedding. They literally stumbled upon St. Augustine and chose the White Room as soon as they saw its awesome rooftop view. The Cubs won the World Series the NIGHT BEFORE the wedding so everyone was in AMAZING spirits all week long.

St. Augustine Wedding Photographer: Treasury on the Plaza, Nazmin & Kelly Creative Portraits

Nazmin & Kelly hired me to do their creative portraits post-wedding. These "after-sessions" are AWESOME because you don't have the stress of the wedding day and you can stroll around the city without a timeline to follow. :) We took portraits in the Treasury on the Plaza, where they were married only a month prior, and then headed toward the Lightner Museum. It was such a rad evening—here's a few of my favorites.

Vermont Wedding Photographer: Destination Wedding Photographer: Macey & Matt Get Hitched!

In lieu of today feeling like fall (finally!) in St. Augustine at a low of 70 :) I have a chance to sit down—windows open and comfortable— and reflect on this season. I have been moving Sarah Annay Photography slowly but surely to working the summer and fall months in Burlington, Vermont, where both my life and love affair with photography began. I had the opportunity to shoot Macey & Matt's wedding on September 3, 2016 and it was one for the books.

Vermont Wedding Photographer, St. Augustine Wedding Photographer, Scott Farm Wedding: Jared & Zara

Jared & Zara had their first ceremony & reception in the UK and when they asked me to shoot their Vermont reception—I was almost speechless. Jared is an amazing photographer in Boston and I was sure he had a few folks in mind. My brother grew up with Jared and it was the first wedding I worked with family around.

The day was as I imagined—completely laid back and absolutely beautiful. It ended up being a cold month in Vermont this July and the entire afternoon was a mix of mist and rain. Scott Farm is amazing. It was where Cider House Rules was filmed and even cooler, Jared's grandfather worked on the farm in the 1930's.
